Meatball Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Pace® Picante Sauce
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 cup crushed tortilla chips
  • 1 egg , beaten
  • 1 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley or 1 tsp. dried parsley flakes
  • 1 1/2 cups Prego® Traditional Italian Sauce
  • 6 long hard rolls , split

Cooking Instructions

Mix 1/2 cup picante sauce, beef, chips, egg and parsley thoroughly and shape firmly into 18 (1 1/2-inch) meatballs.

In medium skillet mix spaghetti sauce and remaining picante sauce. Add meatballs. Over medium heat, heat to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook 20 minutes or until meatballs are no longer pink, stirring occasionally.

Place meatballs and sauce in rolls. Makes 6 sandwiches.
