  • Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 package Taco Seasoning
  • 1 can Refried Beans
  • prefe Tomatoes & Scallions, chopped
  • prefe Shredded Cheese

Cooking Instructions

Mix together Taco Mix, Sour Cream and Mayonnaise

Layer (in order from bottom to top) 1. Refried Beans 2. Taco Mix 3. Shredded Cheese 4. Chopped Tomatoes & Scallions For larger gatherings, double the recipe.

Hint: when spreading the refried beans in the bottom of your serving dish, you may find this hard since it's just out of the can. Try spooning the beans into a bowl first, then microwave for a short time. This will soften the refried beans, making it easier to spread in your dish.

No matter where I bring my Mexican Style Refried Beans DIP, it's a hit. Last time I made this recipe, it was for a group of us at Giants Stadium in NJ - for a JETS game. So many people come up to me asking for the recipe. at the last tailgate, two ladies wanted their picture taken with me because they wanted to remember the dip recipe..... well, me too. here it is.... share it with others if you wish.

This is a light dip but very salty

I wish the recipe had stated what size can of beans I d a large one with a full packet of taco seasoning mix. The dip is very light and tastes good but I would choose to maybe only half of the taco seasoning packet and add a little more chili powder if I found I wanted some extra flavor. The recipe should have been more clear on specific amounts, it would have made it easier. Assembly though is a breeze.
