Mom's Lazy Daisy Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg yellow cake mix
  • 1 can pimeapple slices*
  • 1/2 cup sugar or splenda
  • 1/4 stick butter or margerine
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar*
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/4 teasp cinnamon

Cooking Instructions

Follow directions on cake mix pkg.

Mix pineapple juice, splenda or sugar in bowl, add water and cinnamon.

place pineapple slices on bottom of cake pan that has been sprayed or greased ( with margerine) ( with a marachino cherry in center ( if you have some) put about an eigth of a cup of juice mixture sprinkle over pineapple slices

pour cake mix over pineapples into (8x8 or 9x9 " )pan or regular cake pan pour slowly juice mix on top of cake mix to moisten ( discard any extra

bake according to cake mix directions on middle shelf of oven

when cake cools take powdered sugar in strainer and sprinkle over top

My Mom made this at least 3 or 4 times a week when we were kids, we all loved it and it was inexpensive and delicious then and still is we ( and she) called it her "Lazy-Daisy Cake)
