This is a recipe for 4 pies i have a big family so if you don't need as many just fix to your need.
boil sweet potato whole on high for 1hr to an hr in a half or until done. ((when knife or fork can go through potato))
take out of pot let cool down for at least 30 min will be very hot take caution
preheat oven to 450
now remove skin breaking apart sweet potatoes into big bowl or aluminum pan, smashing and mixing
add the butter, eggs, nutmeg, cinnamon, brown sugar & regular sugar, vanilla extract and milk. mix well until mixture is smooth and pour into un-baked pie crusts
let cook about 15-20 minutes and reduce heat to 350 now bake for 45 minutes to an hour
or until you can stick a fork into the middle and it come out clean.
now get whip cream or vanilla ice cream and digg in!!!
Sweet potato pie was my grandpas all time fav and my grandmas pies were the best and i was the only one ever in the kitchen to see what all she put into her pie. Thing is my grandma never measured anything ((i'm sorry)) so i go about it by taste,
