Ingredients

  • 1-1/4 cups sugar
  • 1-1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1-1/2 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup salad oil
  • 5 tsp double-acting baking powder
  • 1-1/2 cups coarsely chopped walnuts
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

Cooking Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350F. Grease 9" by 5" loaf pan. In large bowl with fork, mix the flour and next 4 ingredients.

2. In small bowl, beat eggs slightly; stir in milk and salad oil; stir this mixture into flour mixture just until flour is moistened.

3. Pour batter into pan; bake 1 hour and 20 minutes or until bread pulls away from sides of pan.

4. Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes then remove from pan and cool completely on rack.
