Ingredients

  • 4 lb beef roast
  • 3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice
  • 1/2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 cup water

Cooking Instructions

In Dutch Oven, brown beef on all sides.

Add water.

Cover.

Bring to boil.

Simmer 1 hour.

Remove beef from pan.

Slice into 1/2 inch slices.

Put remaining ingredients into pan.

Bring to boil and simmer 1 hour more, or until tender.

Remove beef to serving platter.

Thicken juices. I conrstarch.

Serve with red cabbage and boiled potatoes unless you know how to make potato dumplings.
