Orange Lemonade

Ingredients

  • Juice of 1 medium lemon (about 1/4 cup)
  • Zest from 1 orange
  • Zest from 1 lemon
  • 3 cups cold water (plain or sparkling)
  • Ice, as desired
  • Sprigs of mint for garnish
  • Orange wedges for garnish
  • Lemon wedges for garnish
  • Juice of 3 medium oranges (about 3/4 cup)
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup water

Cooking Instructions

1. Bring water to boil in a small saucepan, then add the sugar and stir to dissolve. Remove from the heat and cool, then stir in the orange and lemon juice and zest.* Transfer to a 1-1/2-quart pitcher.

2. Add the cold water to the pitcher and stir well. Then add enough ice to almost fill the pitcher. Let sit until beads of condensation form.

3. Pour into glasses, and garnish each with a sprig of mint, an orange wedge, and a lemon wedge.
