When my cousins and I get together, we compare our interpretations of this recipe, handed down by Grandma to her daughters over the years. Nobody can get it exactly right, but this one is pretty close. Try adding crumbled bacon for a treat! Bon Appetit!

09/27/09 07:39 PM | Great Recipe...I added a few thingsGreat basic recipe. Like others I doubled the dill pickles. I added 6 thin stalks of celery diced, a can of sliced black olives, and 3 tbsp of capers. I had a red pepper on hand, so I diced that and threw it in. Finally, I eliminated the ketchup so it would look more like traditional potato salad. |

08/02/09 04:11 PM | Great basic recipeVery good. I would double the amount of dill pickles (but then again, I love dill pickles!). Don't leave out the salt. The salt makes a big difference in the taste. Most cooks will probably want to add their favorite ingredients, like black olives, etc. |
