Preheat oven to 475F.
Put the bread crumbs in a large bowl and add salt and pepper to taste.
In a separate bowl, stir the Tabasco into the beaten egg. Dunk a few okra pods at a time in the egg then toss lightly to coat in the crumbs. Place crumbed okra on a greased cookie sheet and bake in preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until brown and crispy.

I am the only one from family members that like OKRA , and especially since now it is Lent, and Fridays will have this OKRA recipe along with different filets of Fish , and yes , there will be black-eye peas and OF Course , Jalapeno-Cornbread too . |
