confused about recipe

I just followed the instructions but am a little confused whether or not I was supposed to mix the marinated mix with the mushroom soup, pepper, onions and porkchops.

How do you make the mentioned gravy?

The recipe's good, but I was stuck in the end "when I went to make the gravy" the liquid was way to runny for gravy. Does anyone know how to thicken it up? Thanx
