Pot Roast for TG

Ingredients

  • 1 3 to 4 lb chuck roast
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 2 cups carrots 1/4 inch slices
  • 2 cups sliced celery
  • 2 cloves garlic sliced thin
  • 2 Tbls Kitchen Bouquet

Cooking Instructions

pre-heat oven to 325.......cut slits in each side of roast stick slices of garlic in the slits.....salt an pepper to taste....rub each side of roast with equal parts of kitchen bouquet.....rub Tbl of flour on each side...... heat 2 TBL oil in 3 qt dutch oven ( ask yur mom TG haha )....... when hot add roast heat til browned on each side.......add veggies and 2 cups water...... cover...... cook about 2 hours...check an add more water if needed.....strain meat an veggies..... make gravy if you want.....good served with peas or green beans and mashed or boiled potatoes an lots of bread to dip up the sauce if yur not making gravy

gravy= cook tbl butter an tbl flour till mixed,,,, add to strained juices,,,,add SnP..boil til thick.. TBL of sherry vinegar in it is good too
