04/29/09 09:51 PM | sharing my favorite M/B subThe problem with ready made meatballs are that most are full of fat and salt plus preservatives up the ying-yang. My wife's family secret turkey meatball sub:
*one package ground turkey (lean but not extra lean)
*one large garlic clove minced
*1/4 cup finely minced onion
*one egg
*1/3 cup panko bread crumbs (or regular if u don't have panko)
*1/4 cup of tomato paste (u can substitute w/ t-sauce or catsup)
*liberal amount of salt and pepper (turkey needs it)
Fry the 1 inch meatballs in olive oil over low heat until brown. Drain on paper towels; meanwhile simmer bottled red sauce over low heat. Add the meatballs and simmer for 5 minutes. Put meatballs on rolls (sourdough preferred) with a generous amount of preferred cheese. Wrap in foil and bake for 3 minutes at 350...I guarantee you will love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

12/02/07 08:54 AM | Man Try during Cold Winter DayWarm Sandwich is all you need to keep you warm. Oh yes, you need to have Yellow Lab too (A Pig :-) ). It was awesome, my wife made this over weekend for lunch and it was so filling, yet so light.
We are vegetarians, so we substituted Veggie MeatBalls. |

Here's an easy, reliable way to ensure a moist and flavorful turkey...simply baste the turkey with chicken stock during roasting. When the turkey is done, use a bit more stock to make a quick and tasty gravy.
