Pretzel Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pretzels, chopped
  • 3 tbs. sugar
  • 1/2 cup margarine, melted
  • 1 lg. 6 oz. strawberry jello
  • 2 cups water, boiling
  • 20 oz. crushed pineapple
  • 8 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 oz. cool whip

Cooking Instructions

Mix water and jello to dissolve the jello, add crushed pineapple and juice. Chill mixture until it begins to set.

Mix the first three ingredients to and press into a 13x9x2 pan or dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes. Cool

Mix cream cheese and powdered sugar together well, (beat with mixer) add cool whip. Layer on top of pretzel mixture, then pour the jello mixture over the cool whip mixture and chill.

Great. Delicious just keep to the recipe

I made this just exactly as the recipe says and I made this for thanksgiving and it was all the rave. I am going to make this only for thanksgiving. It is a special recipe.

i thought i was great! i didn't have any cool whip so instead i used whipped strawberry yogurt

Made this salad for our office christmas party and it was a big hit. It was fantastic - the only change I made was instead of pineapple I used fruit cocktail.

changes

You can change the fruit to berries( raspberries, blueberries mix). leave out the pineapple juice
