Cooking Instructions

Heat oven to 350°F. Grease two 8-in. round cake pans, line with wax paper and grease paper. Divide batter between prepared pans.

Bake 15 to 20 minutes until a wooden pick inserted in center of cakes comes out clean. Cool in pans on a wire rack 10 minutes before inverting on rack, removing paper and cooling completely.

To assemble: Place 1 layer on serving plate. Spread filling over top. Top with other layer. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes to firm filling.

Spread 1⁄2 cup frosting over top and sides to set crumbs. Refrigerate 30 minutes. (If using White Frosting, refrigerate frosting, too. It won’t get very thick.) Spread cake with rest of frosting. Refrigerate 60.
