Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb. bulk pork sausage
  • 1/4 cup butter or 0 margarine
  • 2 stalks celery , sliced
  • 1 large onion , chopped
  • 1 medium apple , cored and chopped
  • 1 can (14 oz.) Swanson® Chicken Broth (1 3/4 cups)
  • 1 bag (14 oz.) Pepperidge Farm® Country Style Stuffing
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Cooking Instructions

COOK sausage in saucepot until browned. Pour off fat. Add butter, celery, onion and apple. Cook until tender.

ADD broth. Heat to a boil. Remove from heat. Add stuffing and walnuts. Mix lightly.

Excellent Side Dish

This is one of the easiest dishes that tastes like it took you for ever to make! My family loved the sausage, walnuts and the apples! Next time I am going to try the maple flavored sausage to see how that works!
