Carefully slice each separated sausage lengthways about 3/4 of the way through and spread open.(Parboil them if you wish) Pour or brush on to center of each sausage a generous quantity of Chilli sauce
Line a large baking tray with foil or baking paper (for ease of cleaning). Place a large rack inside tray and carefully arrange the sausages onto it Pack them close to each other, sauce side up!!
Sprinkle a generous quantity of cheese or cheeses over the top of all sausages. Ensure a good coverage. Grind Black pepper to taste
Place tray on to middle shelf of oven preheated to 180-200deg C. Check at around 20mins.
Serve with Creamed potatoes, Green Beans or Peas Garlic bread on the side? More Sauce on the side?
This extremely simple dish is a favorite of my Grandchildren all year round

hmmI bet this would be good if you stuffed them with ricotta cheese and sprinkled with cheese. |
