Shephards Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can diced olives or Mushrooms (both optional)
  • 2 pouches Mashed Potato's from small box
  • 1 bottle spagetti sauce
  • 2 cans green beans
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (most blends work nicely)
  • 1 small onion (diced/chopped)

Cooking Instructions

Brown the ground beef and onion drain the grease from both... While the beef is browning start cooking packaged mashed potatos according to box. Add spagetti sauce to beef/onion mixture, pour into 13X9X2 pan, drain green beans and pour the drained green beans on top of the sauce mixture. Spread the finished mashed potatos on top of the green beans.

Sprinkle with cheese and Bake in 350 oven for 30 minutes or until cheese is fully melted.

Recipe Notes

This reciepe my mother used to make all of the time when I was a little girl. I have modified it due to my tastes. I added the olives to it, which gives the dish more nutritional value, you may also add mushrooms if you like those instead of or together.
