Ingredients

  • 1 cup cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1-1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup Shedd's country crock spread w/ calcium
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 lg eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp grated orange peel
  • 1/4 cup 1% milk
  • 1 lg apple,peeled,cored,coarsely chopped
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries

Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan w/ cooking spray. Combine in bowl,flours,baking powder,baking soda and salt,set aside. Beat Shedd's spread w/ sugar in lg bowl until light & fluffy. Beat in eggs,vanilla and orange peel,until blended well. Alternately beat in flour mix and milk just until blended. Stir in apple and cranberries. Turn into pan. Bake 55 min or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool 20 min. Remove from pan,cool completely.

Recipe Notes

This bread is great served warm w/ a little of your favorite jam.
