Ingredients

  • 6 1 1/4 lbs thin pork chops,lean
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 lb red cabbage,shredded
  • 1 medium size green apple,halved,cored and sliced
  • 1 medium size red apple,halved,cored and sliced
  • 2 tbsp light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp each Salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp caraway seeds
  • 3 tbsp cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp dried parsley

Cooking Instructions

Spary w/ cooking spray, a lg pan. Brown pork chops in pan on both sides over med-high heat. Remove chops from pan. Add butter, cabbage,apples,sugar,salt pepper,caraway seeds and vinegar to pan. Cook over low heat, stirring until well mixed. Return chops to pan. Cover, cook over low heat for 20 min, or until chops and cabbage are tender. Serve alone or w/ fried potatoe patties.

Recipe Notes

I buy the frozen hash brown patties to make this a quick meal, but you can also serve these w/ buttered noodles sprinkled w/ caraway seeds.
