Sherry's chocolate cherry brownie..

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cherry preserves,lo-sugar
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 5 tbsp "I can't believe it's not butter"
  • 1 lg egg,lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 lg egg white

Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 350. Line a 9-inch square pan w/ parchment paper,coat w./cooking spray. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup,level off. Combine flour,sugar,cocoa,baking powder and salt in lg bowl. Stir w/ a whisk. Combine cherry preserves,1/3 cup water and butter in small pan, bring to boil. Add preserve mix to flour mix, stir well. Add egg and egg white, stir until smooth. Stir in chocolate chips. Scrape batter into pan. Bake for 25 min or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, but will have a few moist crumbs.Cool and sprinkle w/ powdered sugar.
