Sherry's easy herbed beef patties..

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4, lbs lean ground beef or turkey
  • 3 tbsp cold water
  • 1/2 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp each dried oregano, black pepper
  • 1 tsp each paprika, all-purpose flour
  • 1 lg egg, slightly beaten
  • 1/4 cup fine, seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp butter or margarine
  • 1 cup pasta sauce
  • 3/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp mixed Italian herbs

Cooking Instructions

In a bowl combine ground beef or ground turkey, cold water, garlic salt, oregano,paprika, and pepper. blend well.

Divide meat into even pieces. Shape each piece into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick. Coat patties w/ flour. let sit a few min. Dip patties into egg then into crumbs. Heat butter on low and brown patties on both sides. Put patties in a shallow baking dish. Pour a little pasta sauce over patties, sprinkle w/ grated cheese. and parmesan ch. Pour the rest of pasta sauce over patties. Bake at 400 for about 20 minutes. Sprinkle w/ herbs and serve.
