In lg kettle, cook crumbled sausage and onion until meat is no longer pink.Drain. Stir in carrots,celery,garlic and leek. Cook for 3 min. Add zucchini and green beans. Cook another 2 min. Stir in broth and tomatoes,cabbage,salt,pepper and Italian seasonings. Bring to boil,reduce heat. Cover,cook for 45 min. Return to boil. Stir in garbanzo beans,pasta and parsley. Cook another 10 min. Sprinkle w/ parmesan cheese right before serving
This recipe was passed down from my father and it was always one of my favorites that he would make as a sunday dinner. Served w/ homemade Garlic bread, it was alwys perfect.
