Scrub all mussels of grime, discard any open cracked mussels. Heat in oil in lg pan over med-high heat until hot. Add onion and garlic. Saute until tender. Add tomatoes and broth. Bring to boil. Add mussels, basil and pepper. Cover,reduce heat to med-low,simmer for 10 minutes or until mussels open. Discard unopened mussels.Spoon mussels w/ tomato mix into bowls, serve w/ bread.
You can also serve these mussels w/ tomato over linguini.
