Sherry's nutty-coconut cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 16.5 oz tube refrigerated sugar cookie dough
  • 1/3 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup swetened shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut, for topping
  • 1/4 cup toasted sliced almonds, for topping.
  • 1 cup melted semisweet chocolate chips

Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 350. Line a cookie sheet w/parchment paper.Beat cookie dough w/ flour. Beat in coconut and almonds. Drop dough by 1/4 cupfuls onto baking sheet, 2" apart.Bake 10-12 minutes. or until light brown. cool completely. Combine 1/2 cup coconut and 1/4 cup almonds,reserve. Melt chocoltae chips. Dip each cooled cookie halfway into chocolate, sprinkle w/ coconut mixture.

Kids love to help dip these cookies and then of course, devour them.. As a matter of fact, so do I!
