Ingredients

  • 4 lg frozen patty shells
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. each dried rosemary & thyme leaves
  • 1/4 tsp. each salt & pepper
  • 1 cup 1% milk
  • 2 lg egg yolks beaten
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1/2 cup light cream
  • 1 lb cooked, deveined shrimp
  • 1/2 cup peas,cooked,drained

Cooking Instructions

Prepare and cook shells according to directions. In med. saucepan, melt butter, blend in flour, over med heat. Add seasonings. Stir about 3 min. Remove from heat. Very slowly add milk. Return to heat. Cook until bubbling.Stir frequently to avoid lumps. Reduce heat to low. Combine egg yolks and ketchup. Add 2-3 tsps hot sauce to yolks, a tsp at a time to prevent curdling. Stir briskly, return to sauce.. Stir over low heat until smooth.Remove from heat. Whisk in light cream. When patty shells are ready, stir shrimp and peas into sauce. Ladle equal portions into patty shells. Serve immediately
