Sherry's zesty-sweet spareribs

Ingredients

  • 2 3 lbs total baby back ribs
  • 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 cup Chinese plum sauce
  • 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp lite soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds, garnish
  • 1 small bunch chopped scallions, garnish

Cooking Instructions

Preheat broiler. Adjust oven rack 6-inches from heat. Line lg shallow baking pan w/ heavy-duty foil. Cut rack into individual ribs. Set ribs,meaty side down on foil, close together, not touching. In bowl combine remaining ingredients[except garnishes] Stir well. Spoon 1/3 sauce over ribs. Broil 10 min. Turn ribs over, spoon on 1/3 sauce over meaty side of ribs. Broil 6 min. Spoon remaining sauce onto ribs. Broil 4 more minutes, until ribs are crispy and done. Sprinkle w/ sesame seeds and scallions, serve.

Recipe Notes

These are restaurant quality without the price. Serve w/ more plum sauce and fried rice or sticky white rice.
