  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp double-acting baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp sugar

Cooking Instructions

1 Preheat oven to 350F. In large bowl with mixer at medium speed, beat first 6 ingredients until well mixed, occasionally scraping the bowl.

2 Pat dough into 9-inch round cake pan and with fork, prick well.

3 With spoon, sprinkle sugar over dough. Bake 30 to 35 minutes.

4 Cut into wedges while warm. Cool on wire rack; separate cookies.
