Wash and cut all vegetables into 1 in. cubes or linear pieces. Mix 1/3 cup all purpose flour, 1 pkg McCormick beef stew mix, 1/2 tsp black pepper in min 1 gal plastic bag. Add cubed chuck steak to bag and shake well, 1 lb at a time. Liberally spray olive oil/Pam in a 6 qt crock, place 3 tbl olive oil in crock and layer cubed steak throughout bottom. Add all vegetables and remaining spices on top of beef in no particular order. Lastly, add chicken broth and diced tomatoes. Cover and high heat 5 hrs or low 10 hrs. Halfway thru, stir/mix contents, taste test,be creative, etc. Except for halfway activities, avoid removing cover, which lowers cooking temp.
