08/03/09 09:33 PM | My mom made this...one of my favs!We had this a few times a month while I was a kid. We always put 4-5 cans of cream of mushroom, 2 packets of onion soup, a cup of red wine, 16 oz. mushrooms, and onions (that is when we baked it). We would always add extra potatoes and carrots, because we loved to eat the extra sauce with them. I make it now for my kids, I leave out the potatoes, and make mashed potatoes and put the cooked pot roast over the top...with all of that yummy gravy and veggies. |

07/23/09 11:05 AM | Changed this somewhatThe secret is in adding sour cream to the cream of mushroom soup and dry onion soup mix. Add about a Cup, or more, or less, depending on your taste. Remember as it cooks, the taste is less zippy. Also, I made this into a "stew", cut the meat up, carrots, and used canned irish potatoes and added canned cut green beans. With my canned stuff, I open the can, and drain it, and then fill the can with water. This takes out sodium, not all of it, but makes it healthier |

05/16/09 08:43 PM | Savory Pot RoastVery disappointed. A very bland recipe. No flavor. The only positive that I experienced was that the pot roast was tender. |

Here's an easy, reliable way to ensure a moist and flavorful turkey...simply baste the turkey with chicken stock during roasting. When the turkey is done, use a bit more stock to make a quick and tasty gravy.
