Smoky BBQ Pork Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbl. spoon Brown sugar
  • 2 tsp Garlic minced
  • 4 tsp McCormick chili powder
  • 1 tsp Ground coriander
  • 1/2 tbl spoon Pure ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tbl. spoon McCormick ground cayenne red pepper
  • 1 5 lb. Boneless pork shoulder roast fat trimmed cut into 1" pieces
  • 2 med Yellow onions thinly sliced
  • 2 cups Honey Brown larger beer
  • 2 cups Smokey Mesquite Bar-B-Q Sauce
  • 8-10 Onion rolls
  • 8-10 slices Gouda cheese (optional)

Cooking Instructions

1. In a small bowl combine brown sugar garlic chili powder coriander pepper and cayenne pepper mix well. 2. Place pork and seasonings into slow cooker; stir to mix well. Add onions and pour in beer; make sure onions are submerged in liquid. 3. Cover and cook on high 7-8 hours or until meat shreds easily. 4. Remove pork and onions with slotted spoon and place on cutting board; shred pork with 2 forks. 5. Remove and discard all but 2 cups of liquid remaining in slow cooker. Add pork and onions back to slow cooker; stir in barbeque sauce. Cover and cook on high 30 minutes. 6. Serve on onion rolls with cheese if desired.

Serve with a good creamy coleslaw
