Sour Cream Apple Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 TB Flour
  • 1/4 tp salt
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 tp nutmeg
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup fat-free sour cream
  • 1 tp vanilla
  • 7-8 apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 tp cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tp cinnamon
  • 2 tb butter
  • 1 pie crust

Cooking Instructions

Combine 2TB Flour, salt, 1/2 C of White and 1/3 C of Brown sugars, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl. Combine

In another bowl, combine egg, sour cream, and vanilla.

Mix wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Mix together, then add apples. Coat the apples and leave to soak for about 30 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Prepare pie crust with non-stick cooking spray in a pie dish. Put apple mixture into pie. Plece in 400 degree oven.

Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, then decrease temp to 350. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Then, increase temp to 400, place topping on the pie and bake for 10 minutes until done.

TO MAKE TOPPING, combine the 1/3 cup white, 1/4 cup brown, 1/3 cup flour, 1 tp cinnamon in a small bowl. Cut the butter into the mixture until the mix becomes lumpy. Sprinkle this on top of the pie and bake in the third cycle.
