Open the cans of beans without turning upside down. (This is to keep the liquid on the top of the can.) Drain the liquid from the top of the can and pour the beans into a full size 4" steam table pan.
Cut the bacon into 1/2 inch wide pieces and fry until done but noy crisp. Let the bacon cool i bit then pour it into the bean pan.
Add the remaining ingredients into the bean pan ans stir until the sugaar is dissolved/mixed well..
Put the bean pan into an oven preheated to 350 degrees and bake for 2 to 2 1/2 hours.
The baking time can vary from 2 to 2 1/2 hours. We like our beans a bit dry on the top but some folks like them wetter so the 2 hours may be enough.
