Southern Style Stuffed Bell Peppers

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 sml roll Jimmy Deans Maple Breakfast Sausage
  • 16 oz Lump Crabmeat
  • 1 lb Shrim peeled and deveined
  • 10 Large Green Bellpeppers (1 set a side chopped)
  • 1 Large Onion
  • 1 cup Chopped Cellery
  • 4 cups Garlic and Herb dry bread crumbs (or plain)
  • 3 tbs Shrimp and Crab boil (liquid)
  • 3 tbs Cajun Seasoning
  • 1 tbs Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 cup water

Cooking Instructions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cut 9 bellpeppers in half vertically. Remove core. Wash and set aside in large pan.

In a large bowl mix ground beef, crabmeat, and sausage with all diced seasoning, 2 tbs of cajun seasoning, garlic powder, 2 tbs of shrimp and crab boil. and 3 1/2 cups of bread crumbs. mix well and add 1/2 cup of water.

coat shrimp in remaining tbs of cajun seasoning and saute in remaining tbs of crab boil until pink. about 5 to 7 min.

Add shrimp to meat mixture

in large skillet brown meat mixture.

drain; meat mixture once browned

spoon fill meat mixture into bell peppers.

put a little water in bottom of pan to steam peppers so they will be tender enough to eat with stuffing. sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup od bread crumbs on top of stuffed peppers. cover pan with aluminim foil. place in oven bake covered for 1hr. 45 min. remove foil and bake uncovered for remaining 15 min or until browned on top.
