Wash and dry 1 cup white rice. Brown in very hot oil. Drain off grease. Add a can of tomatoes, mashed fine, and a can of water. Put several small white onions, comino powder (small amount), and garlic on top. Cover and let steam about 45 minutes or until rice is tender. Add more water if necessary. Do not stir.
