Ingredients

  • 2 cups unsweetened cider
  • 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger
  • 2 tsp. honey
  • 1 orange
  • 1/4 tsp. orange zest (from orange rind)

Cooking Instructions

In a small saucepan, heat the cider over low. Add the cinnamon, ginger, and honey, stirring well. Grate the orange rind and add to the liquid for zest. Peel half of the orange, squeezing juice from the unpeeled half into the cider mixture. Cut the peeled orange half into thin slices and place in the bottom of each of 2 mugs. Continue to heat the cider on low for 3 to 5 minutes. When finished, pour the ider over the orange slices in the mugs. Serve hot.
