Spiced Tea Punch

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1 tbsp whole cloves
  • 1 stick cinnamon
  • 6 cups boiling water
  • 2 tbsp fragrant tea leaves (such as rose Pouchong or jasmine)
  • Juice of 2 lemons
  • Juice of 2 oranges
  • 1 cup unsweetened pineapple juice
  • Fresh orange or lemon slices, fresh mint or strawberries for garnish

Cooking Instructions

Combine the sugar, cold water, cloves, and cinnamon and bring to a simmer.

In a separate pot, pour the boiling water over the tea and let steep for 3 minutes. Strain the tea and combine with the fruit juices. Add to the spice mixture and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Serve hot from a silver bowl, or let cool and serve iced from a crystal or glass punch bowl.
