10/29/09 09:26 AM | Make it better yet! While this is good, why not make it great? Get butcher to cut off bones & tie back on with butchers string (for flavor). Rub salt & black pepper all over roast, place on a spit & cook on grill until desired doneness. You will truly be amazed! |

10/29/09 07:20 AM | My recipe for the best method for roasting Prime RibI know all these recipes are great for roasting a Standing Prime Rib Roast, however, I have to add my recipe that you will be amazed. NO FAIL PRIME RIB ROAST. this will work with any 5 to 12 lb roast. OVEN MUST BE PREHEATED TO 375 DEGREES AT LEAST 1 HOUR AHEAD OF TIME. Season your roast as desired and let it set at room temperatore for at least 1 hour before placing in oven. For Medium Rare cook at 375 degrees for 1 hour ONLY...
Turn off oven and leave roast in oven. DO NOT, DO NOT OPEN OVEN DOOR DURING THIS ENTIRE PROCEEDURE. Roast can stand in oven for less than 2 hours or for the entire day.
45 minutes before serving for dinner, turn oven back to 375 degrees and cook for 40 minutes. If you want it cooked more than medium rare, increase cooking time now for additional 20 minutes. Remove from oven cover with tin foil to keep warm, and let it redistribute juices for 10 to 15 minutes, then carve, you wont believe how juicy and tasty this meat will be. PERFECT. Lucy1405@aol.com |
