A little twistmilk chocolate, melt in pieces in 10-15 sec intervals, stirring at each break. Once completely melted, add powdered sugar and a couple tbsp of peanut butter. Next melt some white chocolate. Dip 3/4 the strawberry in white chocolate and let set. Once set, dip 1/4-1/2 strawberry in the the milk chocolate. You can also split the strawberry and put the milk chocolate mixture in the middle and then dip 3/4 the strawberry in white chocolate. Place in the fridge until 1/2-1 hr before serving. I have made both versions several times and it has always been a hit! Tasty and beautiful--- Enjoy! |

important detailsDon't forget to dry the strawberries well before dipping. Place them on waxed paper until the chocolate hardens on the berries, to avoid sticking to the serving tray. Serve them slightly cooled, but never refrigerator-cold, or the chocolate cover will crack as you bite into it and falls off the fruit. Enjoy! |

Strawberries and melted chocolate yumType your own comment here
I discovered this at work one night (I work in a dungeon, only source of anything in the place is a vending machine with junk food, and two soft drink machines. I brought large, perfectly ripe strawberries from home, that I had frozen in the little Glad entree plastic containers. I bought a large Hershey bar, melted it in a bowl in the microwave, and dipped the just-beginning-to thaw strawberries in the chocolate. Yum. Cost me 85 Cents plus the price of the berries. |
