HEAT butter in saucepot. Add flour and cook and stir 2 min. Stir in broth and heat to a boil. Cook over low heat 10 min.
PLACE mushrooms and onion in food processor bowl. Cover and process until pureed. Add to broth mixture with thyme and cream. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 5 min.
