Put water and salt in a 3-qt saucepan, bring to a boil. Add rice and stir once. Cover and simmer on low heat for 45 minutes. Combine ground beef and onion mix. Mix well and shape into 1 1/2 inch balls. Brown in skillet on all sides. Add 1 more package onion mix with 2 1/2 cups water to meatballs. Simmer covered on low heat for 20 minutes. Cook peas and carrots according to package directions. Slice 4 apples, cover, and refrigerate.

04/27/08 10:32 AM | Confusing DirectionsThis recipe is confusing, since the author does not tell you to combine the meat with the rice!! I kind of assumed he/she overlooked this but a new cook might get to the end and say, "Hey, what about the rice?" I know my newlywed daughter would. |
