Sweet Potatoe Casserole

Ingredients

  • 8 medium size sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • topping
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup chopped nuts walnuts or pecans

Cooking Instructions

Bake sweet potatoes, 375 for about 1 hr. Cool peel and mash potatoes. Combine the rest of the ingredients and place in a covered buttered cassarole dish Mix the topping ingredient together and places on potatoes Bake at 375 for 30 to 35 minutes. The last 10 minutes bake uncovered. Note: You can double the topping.

A total keeper

I made this once for my family month or so ago. They have all requested that I make it for THanksgiving as well. Where I again with Julie3169 (not for weight watchers..lol) it's perfect for holiday meals

Guests want the recipe

I had twelve for a dinner party and this casserole was this dish everyone loved. I subbed pre-nuked sweet potatoes for canned, but otherwise was true to the original ingredients.
