Ingredients

  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
  • 1 1/2 cups finely crushed chocolate graham cracker crumbs (from about 12 whole crackers ground in a food processor or crushed in a ziptop bag)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk)
  • 6 oz bittersweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 1/3 cups sweetened flaked coconut
  • 1 cup natural almonds, toasted, cooled and chopped

Cooking Instructions

Heat oven to 350°F. Line a 13 x 9-in. baking pan with nonstick foil, letting foil extend 2 in. above pan at both ends.

Crust: Put butter in lined pan; put in oven 3 minutes or until melted. Add crumbs; toss until well mixed. Press firmly over bottom of lined pan.

Pour condensed milk evenly over crust. Sprinkle with remaining ingredients. Press down gently.

Bake 25 to 30 minutes until edges are lightly browned. Cool completely in pan on a wire rack.

Lift foil by ends to cutting board. Make 6 crosswise and 4 lengthwise cuts to make 24 bars.
