Add olive oil to a large frying pan over medium high heat. As the oil begins to shimmer add the chopped onion, garlic, green pepper and cherry tomatoes. Add a large pinch of salt and pepper to mix and saute until the onions become translucent.
Add ground turkey and cook until no longer pink. Be sure to break the meat up as it cooks. Once cooked, drain out most of the liquid.
Add the chili powder and the sloppy joe sauce. Cook until heated through. Serve on split Kaiser rolls with the centers scooped out to hold in the mixture.

09/25/07 04:48 PM | Tasty way to kickup the Sloppy JoeThe chipotle chili powder adds a nice smoky heat to the joe and the turkey helps cut down the fat to the sandwich. If you have leftovers the mixture is great over pasta too. |
