Oven 375
Rinse wild rice in a strainer under cold water about 1 minute. In a medium saucepan combine wild rice, brown rice, bouillon granules, sage or nutmeg, and 1 cup water. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
Add mushrooms, celery, and green onions. Cook, covered, over medium-low heat for 10 to 20 minutes more or till vegetables are just tender, stirring frequently. Stir in nuts, if desired. Use to stuff one 2-1/2- to 3-pound broiler-fryer chicken. (Or, add 1/4 cup water and transfer to a 1-quart casserole. Bake in a 375 oven for 25 to 30 minutes.)
